This is a solid spot with a cool vibe just a little north of Centro. The prices are absolutely on point—tasty, satisfying food at a more-than-fair price. I came in starving and left full and content, which is exactly what I was hoping for. There’s another location just a block away, but I preferred this one. The dining room here feels more open and relaxed, making it easier to have a proper conversation over dinner. There’s also a charming little courtyard and bar area where you can hang out if there’s a wait. It might not be the best meal you’ll have in Oaxaca, but it’s definitely worth checking out—especially if you’re in the mood for a laid-back dinner with good food and better prices.

Excellent hospitality. Both shrimp and octopus tacos were divine. Shrimp with garlic and pepper(?) with rice was absolutely delicious. Grilled Eggplant was interesting, it was topped with tomato, cheese and pesto. Sparkling lemonade could do less in sweetness but it was fantastic as well. One of the best meals I’ve had in Oaxaca.

Stumbled upon this place for a quick lunch, and it did not disappoint! It’s in a centrally located area in the historic district of Oaxaca, and it was very open and uncrowded when I went for lunch. I ordered the garlic, shrimp platter, and a tostada with some hibiscus juice. Everything was fresh and delicious, I loved the flavors and how colorful everything was, you can really tell that they cook with great ingredients. The service felt a little slow, not the best place, if you are in a rush, but the food makes it all forgivable! The menu is huge and very accommodating for vegetarians if you like mushrooms.

Caldo de camarron was phenomenal as well as the tortas ( which I had two of the pollo milanesa) but they offer many other options which I have heard are delectable as well.

Just arrived in Oaxaca and immediately came to this cute restaurant next to our VRBO. Really good food and super cool art. The kids called it boujee, but you know, we like boujee.

Had the cicina torta, papas fritas and mezcal with hibiscus and mezcal. Food was delicious and mezcal, although obviously present in the drink, was not overwhelming. Would recommend if you're looking for a relaxed vibe; good service and food.
